Use of the website and privacy statement

By using our website, the user accepts the terms of this privacy statement.

What data is collected on the user?

We collect user data that is necessary for our purposes. Personal details are conveyed to the Palkeet e-mail address via the forms on our website; personal data is never stored on the website. Data provided by the user or data from which the individual can be identified is visible on the online forms. Identified details include the individual’s name, e-mail address, phone number, possible content of the message and the time and date when the message was sent, for example. In addition to this, the site collects anonymous information for web analytics by means of the Google Analytics service.

Personal details are primarily collected from the users themselves.

What is the data used for and how is it stored?

We primarily process the data collected for developing the service and detecting and preventing possible misuse.

The form details of newsletter subscriptions are stored in the subscriber register for customer bulletins and stakeholder newsletters. The details collected using the Google Analytics service are stored in the Google Analytics tool. The data collected, saved and analysed by Google Analytics does not contain data from which the individual can be identified. We retain identified data about the user only for as long as necessary in accordance with valid legislation.

Processing and disclosure of data to third parties

Data processing is carried out by employees of Palkeet according to the legislation regulating the processing of personal data. Palkeet retains the right to partly outsource the processing of personal data to a third party, in which case we ensure with contractual arrangements that personal data is processed according to the legislation regulating the processing of personal data.

Palkeet does not transfer data outside the EU or EEA.

We do not sell, rent or disclose the user’s personal data to third parties. However, we may disclose the user’s personal data in the manner required by requests submitted by competent authorities or other parties, based on legislation in force at the time.

Use of cookies

We use cookie data to analyse the activities of individual users and user groups within the online service by means of Google Analytics visitor monitoring. Based on the data analysed, we are able to develop the usability and content of our online service to serve users better.

Right to access data and blocking the use of cookies

The user has the right to check what personal data has been saved about them. The user can check their personal data by contacting Palkeet (official mail). This right of access is subject to valid legislation.

The user may block the use of cookies by changing their browser settings according to the instructions of the browser’s manufacturer and clear any cookies from the browser’s cache. Clearing the cookies does not stop possible collection of data.
